Kiryat Sefer

In the 1st Century, Kiryat Sefer was a small agricultural village in southern Samaria.

Like Nazareth, it was situated on a small summit surrounded by valleys, with an economy based on terraced cultivation of grapes and olives. Excavations at Kiryat Sefer uncovered relatively cohesive examples of agglutinated structural complexes with integrated production facilities, storage and living spaces.
